Drapanias beach is located only a few minutes from Kissamos and between Kolfalona and Nopigia. The village of Drapanias in 2 Km from the beach itself.
The beach is about 2 km long and it offers sunbeds and umbrellas near the shops while there is plenty of space for adding your own umbrellas or find shade under a tree if you like exploring a little bit.
Parking is usually not a problem. Here you will also find an organised camping site. In the vicinity, you will also find tavernas/café where you can get you drinks for the beach and later on a meal.
How to Get There
When leaving Kissamos in the direction of Chania, in about 1 Km there is a small intersection, there, you need to get off and follow the signs. Just before the intersection, you will see on your right hand side a pharmacy. See map directions.
- When northern winds are blowing be careful of the waves.
- Nice area for walking.
- If you love snorkelling you will definitely find a spot to enjoy.
- Following the beach or road eastbound you can reach Nopigia beach.
