Sfinari is a small village in the municipality of Kissamos. The beach is few Km below the village itself. This is a rocky beach with some pebbles. One of the last fairly untouched Cretan beaches with a minimum number of visitors.

Here you can find that quiet beach you were looking for. It is a fairly large area and has plenty of space. The beach has some facilities (sunbeds and umbrellas) at the 3 tavernas that are there. There are plenty of trees to find some shade.

How to Get There

Sfinari is located around 18 Km to the south of Kissamos and approximately 35 min drive. Some parts of the road are narrow but the view makes it worth it.

  • End of road free space for camping.

  • Fresh fish in nearby taverns. You can pre-order fish one day earlier.

  • Good spot for snorkelling and spear gun fishing.
