This beautiful round trip gorge is on the way to Elafonisi. On the way there you can enjoy the great mountain view overlooking many different bays until you reach Kampos.
The gorge starts at the beautiful village of Kampos belonging to Kissamos province. Take the stairs next to the parking to start your hike. At first this gorge doesn’t seem so great but the more you walk the better it gets.
In this hike, you will find yourself walking under the huge plane trees right next to the next to the river which has water all year long.
Halfway through you have the opportunity to visit the church of Agia Kyriaki and from there head to the secluded and beautiful pebble beach of Platanakia for a refreshing dip, before you take the road back to the village.
How To Get There
The village of Kampos is located 40 min drive from Kissamos to the southwest.

Make sure you have a bottle of water with you.

Sunscreen might be required and its good to always wear some.

Comfortable shoes are adviced or hiking gear.
