Here you will not find a lot of people due to the unorganized nature of it and if you end up in a day that has a lot of people there are plenty of smaller coves to find a quiet spot if don’t mind walking a bit.
Kedrodasos is also part of the Natura 2000 network along with Balos , Elafonisi and Falasarna . There are two types of Jupiter trees growing in this area Juniperus macrocarpa and Juniperus phoenicea.
In addition, the E4 European long-distance walking path crosses this beach.
Note that camping is illegal!
If you decide to visit Kedrodasos, please take any trash you might have produced with you.
Do NOT leave them there, there are bins at the hilltop of Kedrodasos.

How to Get There
You can go by car up to a point after that you need to walk. Take the dirt road that branches off 2 km before Elafonisi and passes through the plastic greenhouses. There are some side branches, so take care not to get lost. On foot, follow the European E4 long distance path from the beach of Elafonisi.
Also, we would advise you to have a look at a map to have an idea of where you are going before you start from Kissamos or if you start from Elafonisi. Keep in mind that you might need to ask some of the locals for some direction since this beach is out of the main roads.
- Although there are trees for shade, if you are going only there an umbrella might be a good thing to have.
- Make sure you have 1-2 bottles of water with you.
- The pebbles at the beach can get very hot in midday times.
