Nopigia beach is a good place to change scenery and enjoy the beach, a drink and a meal. Located very near Kissamos you can go by car and relax in a fully organised beach, or go a bit further and put your own umbrella. If you explore a little bit further than the first beach you meet, you will be able to find quieter and mainly rocky spots to enjoy the sea and sun.

At a short distance from Nopigia, there are the ruins of ancient Mithymnas surrounded by olive groves, and the church of St. Panteleimon, which is built in a cruciform shape with cylindrical dome and rectangular shape on its floor.

West of Nopigia the ruins of a Roman settlement and a church with Byzantine frescoes dedicated to Saint George. The orientation is from north to south, and not according to the Orthodox axis, from east to west, as it was probably built on the ruins of an earlier Roman temple.

East of Nopigia, there is a small seaside stone theatre, which was built in 1992 in the style of an ancient theatre and has very good acoustics. At a distance of 200 meters from the main street of the village, there is the cave Rizospilios, in which a river passes.
